Burger Joys stands out not just for its juicy burgers but for its commitment to fresh ingredients and genuine flavors. Diners rave about the double cheeseburger, highlighting the freshness of the onions and pickles, which elevate the classic dish with their perfect blend of sweetness and acidity. The quality of the meat is exceptional, with each patty grilled to achieve that irresistible charred outer layer while remaining tender and pink inside.
If you're seeking something to complement your main course, the truffle fries are a must-try. Unlike the usual offerings, these fries are cooked with truffle oil, imparting a rich and aromatic experience that’ll surprise even the most discerning foodies. They provide a perfectly crispy bite that pairs perfectly with a burger, making every mouthful a joyful celebration.
The buffalo wings are equally commendable, though some may find them on the saltier side. They're best enjoyed with a cold beverage, whether it be beer or a refreshing soda. The casual atmosphere of Burger Joys encourages sharing and conviviality, making it an ideal spot for a laid-back meal with friends.
Despite a few critiques—such as the occasional over-seasoning of the wings or some mixed reviews about the garlic fries—the overwhelming consensus is one of satisfaction. The cozy ambiance, friendly staff, and hearty offerings come together to create an experience that’s both comforting and fulfilling.
In essence, Burger Joys is more than just a burger joint; it’s a community hub for food lovers who appreciate quality over pretense. Whether you're a burger aficionado or simply looking for a delightful meal, consider making your way to Burger Joys for an unforgettable gastronomic journey in Hong Kong.
“ We love the burgers from Burger Joys - quality patties and fresh salad ingredients on a light fluffy bun. Tasty fries with different flavours to choose from (cajun, plain and sweet potato plus more). You can dine in if takeaway isn’t an option. The venue is basic but the food more than makes up for it! ”
“ One of the best burgers I've had in HK. Just a simple classic burger with good ingredients, the patties grilled just enough so the outside is a little charred and chewy, while the inside is pink and juicy. I hate it when a burger is too fancy and you taste everything else but the beef patties. The tater tots were damn good, too! But I'm deducting one star for their horrendous garlic fries. All it was was fries drenched in raw garlic purée probably from a jar (too perfectly liquidy to have been blended by them). At first, my friend mistook it for cheese. Would've been better off if they had called it a dip and serve it on the side as a condiment. The garlic purée made the fries soggy and was too strong (raw) to consume. It's an absolute insult to "California-style" garlic fries -- or any garlic fries in general. I'm from San Francisco, and we have the famous Gilroy Garlic Fries. ”
“ Burger Joys is one of the best burger place near SYP. A very western like burger shop but it was started by a Hong Konger. Their burger meat was juicy. Cajun wings is a must, you won’t regret trying it. ”
“ We had the cheeseburgers, Cheese fries and cajun fries. They all taste really good, highly recommended. But services is alright in HK standard, but definitely not friendly. ”
“ cheese burger110 chicken burger90 sweet potato fries50 - nicely packed and in good shape would be happy if they can add more sauce to the burger and the cheese burger is not cheesy enough sweet potato fries were soft inside and crispy outside! “ The double cheese burger is okay. However I'm more impressed by the onion and the pickle in the burger. The onion is extremely fresh and juicy. The pickle is just right and not too sour. The truffle fries something that's out of my expectation. Instead of simply giving you some fries with a truffle salad dressing for dipping, truffle fries here are actually fries fried with truffle. The buffalo wings are perhaps a bit too salty for my taste. But it's a good snack if you go with a lot of cold beer or soft drinks! ”
“ Location might be a bit hard to find at first since they’re perfectly tucked away in one of the smaller corners in SYP. Super friendly staff and though the place is small and not as much seating, it’s still cozy and casual. The brioche bun is so soft and the burger was much thicker than I expected! Insanely tasty and juicy with their homemade sauce, plus the onion rings are cooked perfectly and delicious with my meal. Their buffalo wings are also one of the best and a must-try. Highly recommend this place if you’re around the SYP or Wan Chai area if you want a hearty, comfort meal and leave with a happy tummy - one of my all time go-to and fave burger/wing spots in HK. ”
